This is amazing! What is the year on this ad?
I have a 1902 magazine ad for an “X-ray Electroscope,” which was likely the same gimmick, only it had a metal base and cost 35 cents. It could see any object through wood and stone, which wasn’t much use if you wanted to look through curtains or blinds….
If I remember correctly it came from a catalog dated 1884! I checked out your blog and it is wonderful! I will be following it!
THAT’S pretty cool, Monkey! 10c. 1c postage. Worth every penny, I am sure.
